Kevin Travers Design + Build is a limited liability company located in Southern Rhode Island. Fully licensed and insured with over 30 years of experience, I service the surrounding areas and beyond. With an array of boutique-style services, I approach every project with dedication and professionalism to deliver the best overall customer service experience possible. I employ thoughtful, practical designs combined with uncompromising craftsmanship to produce a high quality finished product.

Meet the owner
Hi, I’m Kevin Travers, a Master Craftsman with over 30 years in the construction and building trades. A life long resident of Rhode Island, I discovered my passion for carpentry at the age of 13. After graduating from Chariho Career & Technical Center, I began building ground up new construction custom homes throughout Southern Rhode Island. After several years and many homes later, I sought out new challenges and experiences and transitioned into remodeling, renovations and restoration. I joined the team of a nationally-recognized, award-winning Design + Build firm in Southeastern Connecticut, serving a variety of roles over the years including lead carpenter, project manager, designer and estimator. Throughout this time I earned industry certifications such as NARI Certified Lead Carpenter and NAHB Certified Graduate Remodeler.
Soon after, Kevin Travers Design + Build was founded in an effort to grow my company with a continued focus on thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship and attentive customer service. I developed a passion for designing and building custom furniture and began offering these services to clients. Aside from being a small business owner, I enjoy spending time and traveling with my family, volunteering, fiddling with home garden projects or being creative in my private backyard art studio developing my passion project, American Revolution Design™.
The Process
Every project begins with a vision. You are invited to share your vision with me anytime via email, a phone call, text or direct messages through one of my social media pages.
I appreciate hearing from old and new customers alike who are planning their next endeavor. Once I have a brief understanding of your project goals, ideal projected timeline and rough budget, I can determine if we are a match in working together. To get started and move forward together, I will custom tailor one or more of my professional and/or field service packages to meet your needs on a case by case basis. Detailed services and costs are presented and clearly outlined in a written agreement for approval. Once accepted, we can shake hands and begin the path of making your vision a reality.
